Speaking of 12AX7s... anyone know what preamp tube(s) I should use to get the lead channel on the SLO II less compressed? I have the gain at 9:00 and it's really compressed. I was thinking of using some sort of JJ to bring the compression/gain down, but not sure which of the two tubes that channel uses and what to swap in.

JJ offers as well a 5751 tube which I would consider the obvious option to reduce gain and compression.
