Help me with MIDI

I've gotten pretty comfortable with my SLO/H90 rig and pretty set on it being with me for a while.

So I'd love to get some MIDI integration going.

What I want out of it:

A MIDI controller that can call up specific presets with the H90 as well as change channels on the 1/4" relay switched SLO. ie I want to go from the clean channel with micropitch and reverb to the OD channel with delay to a preset with a univibe, etc

I want several buttons, and if possible a display, so I can have multiple presets ready to go without manually navigating through banks on the H90.

I've used the Voodoo Control Switcher in the past with great results, but I was using the TC Nova system to send the MIDI commands to the VL. I don't want, nor do I think it has the capability, to run the H90 as my main controller. I want to control it from a MIDI foot controller.

Does this exist?

The H90 is capable of controlling the VL, but with only 3 buttons it's a bit limited.

I'd consider something like the Boss ES-5. It's capable of switching channels on the SLO and controlling the H90 plus it gives you another 3 slots for other pedals that you can bring in/out of the chain per preset. RJM and Musicomlab also have great similar units.

Thread is relevant to my interests

The boss looks sweet and like that non midi pedals can be incorporated in :hmm:

Yes you can put something like a SD-1 and a Klone out front and switch it in/out with the ES. Maybe even something like a Phase 90, any good front of the amp pedals.

Then do a 4CM with loop 4 and add the H90 to loop 5 for post effects.

So using the loops, I could theoretically get the ES-8 and add a couple fuzz pedals in the first 2 loops then run the H90 in 4CM?

Exactly. Use loops 1-3 for fuzzes, boosts.
Loop 4 is the SLO preamp in 4CM (loop 4 send to SLO input/SLO send to Loop 4 return).
Loop 5 is the H90. Then from the ES-5 output you go to the SLO return. Hell of a rig with total flexibility.

Dude hell yeah. Thank you so much, that's exactly what I'm looking to accomplish!

Nice man. I also suggest you get an isolation transformer for the loop that will have the SLO preamp since the ES-8 will be both in front of the amp in the loop so you may get a ground loop in some places.

Best one:

Poverty (but works fine):

Nice, I have an isolation transformer kicking around from years back that will do the job. You rule, man!

be careful with the Boss stuff and trying to do too much Midi controls with them... they are known issues with them.... my friend has been having a really hard time getting his 3 Strymons and EVH to work with the MS3.

I've read good things about the Fender Switchmaster
