Maybe these IRs are good...

Grabbed that GGD Contender IR plugin...and I might have to agree with Eric that these are probably the best IRs I've tried. Pretty impressed. Here are a couple of clips just throwing up some cabs and getting familiar with it.

I left all the settings default for these, but I will be messing with that stuff next and see what more it does. But immediately, these are pretty good.

These are Mesa cab, one channel SM57, second channel C414. +

Strat: https://app.box.com/s/coyicv1wu5ur5awijd9f8s9w1wfnkwor

I thought the M160 sounded pretty good paired with the SM57, too. Everything after this point is strat.

The Marshall TV cab sounds awesome, too! Same mic combos. I think I might like this cab the best.

And this one is Mesa/57+MarshTV/C414

I like all of these! Personally my favorites are the Mesa with the 57 cab and the TV cab with the C414. But they're all great. The mix of the 2 was awesome too. I'm definitely buying this plug in!

Yeah, for $60...shit man! The Celestion plugin was over twice that, and this is objectively better. Maybe less tweaking capabilities, but maybe you also need that shit less here.

my computer is getting old and apparently out of date so box doesn't load on here.BUt as much as I like keeping it simple. One or 2 mics/cab. My "perfected" sound ended up being 2cabs with 2 mics each.. So 4 mics and its just killer. Thats what my clip was.. But all in all each cab and each mic is pretty indicative of what it REALLY is.. But also I would consider EVERY mic an option.. I wouldn't go in thinking well its a ribbon, it'll be too warm or sumthin. Mixing that 121 in with some other mics can really be great.. And EVEN the 121 by itself on certain cabs is damn good by itself.. So yeah, its a good plugin, but definitely don't go in thinking total "true life" where metal wouldn't normally use a 121/m60 combo.. Cause in some instances it'll sound great in this!

Yeah, I agree. Every single mic sounds good. And every cab has something I could see being usable. While the MarshTV and Mesa are probably my top 2, I could use any of them. And blending is super easy and brings something unique. Really great!

So apparently you can export whatever you create as an IR. I just sent the tones I used on the Mesa/Marsh clip to Bill lol. Crazy!

had a chance to listen.. I agree the TV cab sounded best.. Greenbacks! not a surprise cause they sound great with the EVH.. I like the EVH cab, that TV cab and for the V30 speaker tone ill usually mix in the Orange one, its dark but mixed with some of the other greenback cabs it seems to do well, or the Friedman.. The Uber one isn't bad either..
