Screw it. I’m searching. I’m in the tone hunt for my recordings coming up. I’m happy with what I got, but I want to see ALL that I got. And some Bill said the k100s were “boring”, or sumthin yesterday. Lolol. Nah, really I heard something In that speaker I wanted to dig Around in. It saying I found it at all. It’s just what I got today.

I had to really play around with setting with the 6505. After I just found some I really liked! Lol. Anyway. Using an EVH Wolfgang with a BK brute force. 6505, sm57 on the k100. Just made the riffs up to a drum loop so it’s knuckle dragging shit so I wouldn’t keep fucking uo while recording. Which k did anyway.

And your clips are never boring I just comparing the speakers.

sounds killer. i have a k100 i put in my recording 4x12 that i dont think ive even mic'd yet, think this clip has pushed me to do that lol

Goddamn, why is that sound so fucking angry? Did someone tell it mids were lame or something?

Also, I'm not sure if "knuckle dragging shit" is a put down or not, but give me 40 minutes of instrumental knuckle dragging shit.

Yeah, this sounds great!! Assuming this isn't one of the K100s you bought from me lolol.

Maybe if people here hype up the K100, Celestion will reissue it and actually produce 16ohm versions in more than "rare" fashion.

I did scoop the mids almost all the way on the 6505. I never do that! But I was simply dialing in what sounded best and they were a little too “hard” until I kept turning that shit down!

Actually it is! While those didn’t sound exactly like mine, it’s not like they couldn’t be used. There’s always a way!

haha damn! I'm kinda surprised. I guess it makes sense they would sound better under a mic, but goddamn were they harsh and weird in the room! lol

Because need a comparison Eh?! Lol. Actually I hate these drums actually, and by hate I mean they sound perfect and all. But I do not like my music with them. These are the GGD OKW metal. Which means they are processed and “mix ready”. I used their Invasion kit in a Rabid Beast release and I was happy with em. And Those are more raw. Not totally. But certainly need work compared to these. And since these are all loaded inKontakt sampler, I have the full version, it has basically all the necessary plugins, just eq and compressors to kinda do my own drum mix all within the plugin. Rather than run everything out to individual channels which is kinda how this is designed, i do it all in t he box.

I forgot how much I actually do like this kit. Sounds way better to me than the overprocessdd shit!

Also used the EVH blue channel! No boost and NOT scooped. And gain at noon. So just hot Rod Marshall type tones . Micing a Creamback 65
