NGD!

Post by Guitarbilly »

I bought this last weekend and it arrived yesterday

2011 Les Paul Classic in flat black. Extremely impressed with this one. It could very well be my best sounding LP..

I'm beginning to think that there's something special these thin "faded" nitro finishes. I had a similar experience with Fender Highway One guitars with the same type of finish. The guitars just seem to resonate better. I haven't tried enough of them to know for sure so could just be a coincidence idk but so far I've liked every guitar I've played with this type of finish..

Yes!! I agree. My one Strat is an American Special body with an all parts neck and the thinner paint job seems to help it resonate more. It’s just a wonderful sounding guitar.

Also that’s a gorgeous LP. What’s it got loaded in there?

I love Black Standards (or classics/trads).That is actually my favourite "look" of LP. I've just never stumbled across one at the time when I'm looking to spend money. What Duncan is in the bridge spot?

My LP is also a faded and it sounds and resonates well. It sounds very large compared to my previous LP, no matter what pickups I tried in that one.

The pickups are a Custom/59 set :)

Yeah that’s a classic, bad ass set. 59s don’t fuck around. And the Custom is like a hotter 59. Big fan of those two together.

I am typically not that much into Les Pauls, but this guitar is pretty damn cool!

Congrats!
