I went to channel 1 straight in. Tried playing a little faster and did a clip in U mode and Hair+ mode. Turned all the dials some more, I just don't think this can get near as tight as an Enlg.
Need an ultra rev 3 with Uber tight switch. Yes there is a tight switch and it was on but I don't think it's quite enough. Maybe with the right pedal or maybe I just don't know how to get tight toanz.

I think lowering the gain a bit will tighten it up as well

Yeah, too much gain for sure adds some squish to the feel of the low end. Gotta find where that balance point is. I do like a lot of gain, though, and this sounds right about where I'd put it.

I'll turn it down and try again later, working now was on lunch. I do use a lot of gain always.
Don't me wrong I love this amp is it insane but I'm just not hearing that ENGL tight like in your first video, that was crazy.

I think I see what you're saying, but I don't think that's an issue for me with this amp. Appreciate you fucking around with it!
I've seen some people online say the FB has a bit of a solid state sorta thing happening. I think whatever that is probably contributes to how tight it seems. It does kinda of have a 5150 meets a Randall kinda thing, I suppose.

My friend back home has the savage, I know you said that was in the other family but he swears by it and will never sell.
I can hear a lot of death metal bands in my head that use that Engl tone

Yeah, the Savage seems to be the most popular one. Definitely would love to spend some real time with one, but I don't think I will buy one for that purpose.
