I finally wired my pedalboard like an adult

Post by Vladimir Putin »

Anyone that remembers my drunkenly homemade rat fur covered poverty board can probably appreciate this.

The Cioks form factor is fantastic and allowed me to tuck it under the board with Velcro.

That’s so clean. I should get a proper board instead of my repurposed teak bath mat.

Looks very clean man. Cioks makes a cool bracket for Pedaltrain boards if you are like me and don't trust velcro on anything that's upside down

Where's the H90 though?

I got impatient so I just used the industrial Velcro. It's so lightweight that I don't think it will be an issue. If I start gigging with it anytime I'll definitely get the bracket because yeah... no trust

The H90... well... it's already gone...

... from my board :D

It's on my desk since I'm basically just setup for direct recording now. I run everything through the Captor in to the H90 and then in to the DAW. That's also why I have 3 fuzz pedals on the board so I don't have to swap out the main ones I use. If/when I gig again the H90 will go back to the board and 2 of the fuzzes will come off.

Oh I see, you're using the H90 to process the signal after the Captor. Yeah that's the pro way to do it. These effects do sound better when added post everything.

It definitely works great this way, and I have preset lists for both 4cm and running in line after the Captor. At some point I'll have another wiring loom made up like I did for the HXFX/Mesa rig so i can have it ready to go, but no rush on that at all since I'm just a home player these days.

I mean it’s not awful just a mess right now I need to clean up. And redo my wire runs. Problem is the space between slats is so thin I can’t run cable under the board. But for $50 plus the Velcro I don’t complain.

I’m glad I have good company on this kind of board then hahaha. Excuse the dog hair also. My shepherd/husky just got a bath and blowout the other day.
