2012 LP Studio...with circuit board

This guy has this studio for $900. It's in okay shape. Mahogany body. Neck feels a little thick, but playable for sure.

He agreed to take my 95 Fender P-Bass Lyte in a temporary trade. I told him I would clean it up, news strings, and the jack was scratchy.

The fingerboard soaked up danish oil and then another coat

I'll string it up tomorrow and give it a try.

I've not seen a circuit board before. I know some guys take them out and rewire. Are there any issues I should know about with these boards?

Thanks, and I'll post how it is tomorrow :thu:

There are no issues. Regular pots are easier to change pickups since the circuit board requires special connectors.
But if you don't plan to change pickups the circuit board won't be a problem at all

This has got me thinking, wouldn't it be cool to make a little pot backer pcb with spring terminals to quickly swap pickups out?

if you are ok with the 300k pots, nothing wrong with the pcb board. You can buy quick connect adapters for replacement pickups if you needed to.
