I’ve been a huge Elliott Smith fan for a long time, I’ve covered a lot of his songs .
Guitar is an Alvarez 12 string that I took the extra strings off . It came stock with a piezo in the bridge and an internal microphone inside the sound hole. With the preamp you can blend both piezo and mic so this was just ran into the interface and double tracked. I tried playing with acoustic IR’s and the ones I had made it sound either boomy or thin so I didn’t use any
Mic is blue bluebird and double tracked .

Thank you ! I’ve been working on trying to tighten up doing double vocals.

Yeah, it sounds great. At first, I wondered if you were using a doubling effect.

I had tried a free adt plugin once and didn’t care for it , sounded more like a chorus than double tracked vocals.
It’s cool to use to accent certain parts of a song or maybe for backup vocals

Yep. You gotta do it real.

Butch Vig's secret = don't use vibrato when you hold out double parts.

(FWIW, Liz Frasier from Cocteau Twins is the only person I can think of who can have her doubled vibrato be timed identically. It's crazy)
