Was picking up this squier from the shop I had my Schecter at. Had an issue with the pot, on my way out I saw this cab tucked away with a V30 badge on the grill cloth for $150

Asked the dude to verify they're v30 and low and behold, I walked out with a V30 cab for $161 out the door.

It's some type of Line 6 cab, 2008 Chinese V30 but I don't really care about that holy grail shit anymore. I had a 2001 Mesa and it wasn't any more amazing than others I've had.

This is pretty much what I've been looking to find for a minute and at that price I don't think I can beat it. The 5150 sounds even better now to my ears.

Bro...you have no idea...I needed this.

GC also has a line 6 with V30, possibly this same cab. That was $440 total and was the cheapest v30 cab i could find.

You can barely even find a single used V30 speaker for under $100 this days. This was like some universal destiny type of stuff.

The badge has Not A Dumble written in marker on it and that is definitely staying.

Yeah the dude had some weird story about how they had a dumble amp there and they were using that cabinet with it.

Something or other I don't know but that shit was pretty funny so I'll keep it. I might need a new Jack Plate though or at the very least a nut and washer. Otherwise it seems pretty solid and sounds good to me.

I was involved in the design of these cabs when I worked at Line 6. It was originally the cab for the Vetta line of amps with a custom version of the Celestion Lead 80s. Then they swapped it for V30s for the Spider Valve amps. It's actually a really good cab, if I say so myself. 13-ply marine birch all around (including the back) and really good internal bracing. It was really designed to be a top of the line cab and I'd put against anything out there.

That's pretty sweet, sounds like a cool job. I'll be honest the Vettas were cool as hell back in their day..all advanced and sounded great.

Was in a band at the time and I remember hearing another band practicing down the hall from our spot. They sounded so good we knocked on their door to check out the gear and the 2 guitarists were both using Vettas, never played one myself but definitely happy with the $161 Vetta Not a dumble cab.

ive passed on a few deals like this on these and always kind of kick myself in the ass for it.
