Preface: my mom died of cancer 7 years ago, and my dad got remarried.

So, i found my mom’s writings in the trash, and it kind of shattered me, especially when i read everything.

I put it into a song.

Btw, I finally got something legit monitors. Yamaha ns-10m pros with a crown d75. These are the shit. Nothing hides. I’m blown away by how much better the mix comes out when the speakers aren’t hiding things.

These vintage yamahas are badass. The pair was like $300 direct from japan. They are in amazing shape.

Nice, what was the website you got them from? I've seen some good deals coming from Japan on gear.

Fwiw, do some research. There’s a big difference between the normal ns-10m and ns-10m studio/pro model.

Yeah that mix sounds really good, I think it sounds fuller, and everything is sitting nicely together

I kind of rushed at the end, and just remixed a tad. There was some unnecessary feedback I pulled out. Turned the cymbal down a bit to mask my shitty playing.

Added some reverb to the vocals when it escalates.
