So, I'm writing this song about a girl who was on a number of medications for mental issues. She kind of led me on, then broke my heart.
I put this track to tape, but ended up not liking the arrangement. I'm going to re-record it, but I'm not looking forward to trying to recreate this again. I was using 3 mics on the guitar, and recording stereo tracks. I also used my Wesley Willis keyboard. Technics 1200.
I'm truly enjoying being down another 1/2 step. I'm down to "Open C add 9 tuning".
Used my Pine White Jazzmaster with a Padouk neck and Creamery Wide Range Jazzmaster pups.
Spiral Allora
SPiral Brute
Skreddy Skunk (This is badass. It records really well)
Spruce Glaciers
Boss VB-2W
Past FX PX65
OBNE Darkstar Stereo (for the opening drone sound)
Dr Z Carmen Ghia - E906
Dr Z Mazerati 30th. - MD441
Audix Choir Mic
Warmoth Jazzmaster Bass - Direct to Aphex Jpre and DBX 560 comp.
Akai Tomcat

As always , the guitar tones are great and the song has a cool vibe. Will be interesting to hear how you re-arrange it

Sounds incredible man.
I love this kind of music. I think I'll do another duo project with my wife eventually to explore dark ambient sounds.

Thanks a lot for listening, dudes!
Recording is so much fun. The dry individual tracks always sound so shitty and raw, then they come together in a soup. I love it.
I'm REALLY starting to like my reverse headstock guitars. When you hit the low string really hard, it seems to go slightly flat because of the slack behind the headstock.
I'm also addicted to leaving the Boss VB2W on all the time. It becomes chorusey with a lot of tracks, but it doesn't sound garbley. It's just awesome.

Thanks, dudes. I appreciate it!
FWIW, I started trying to re-arrange this, and I don't think I can. I may just sing over this, and do some creative subtractions/additions. Maybe, fade out early. I don't want to let this go.
