Got a Laney GH50L today. I love the GH amps and missed having one. This one sounds particularly great. Very happy with it. I'll post some clips later this week.

HNAD! The GHs were always cool amps to me. Surprised I never owned one.

Nice. I was wondering why we never see any modded Laneys? There a gh50 for sale at RT, was thinking maybe snagging it and sending it to groundzero or monomyth and telling them go to town

Because they're great out of the box. The only thing I'd consider adding to a GH series is a depth mod.

yeah I agree, they don't need much. But I don't see a lot of Laneys at all around here (US), even stock ones. The brand never caught on here, but I don't think it's a big priority for them.

I had a Laney GH50L for a while. It was a bit dry sounding for my tastes back then, but it was still a monster of an amp. I wish I kept it around longer to play around with tubes and speaker cabs. I was using it through a Mojotone 4x12 with Greenbacks back then. Maybe that wasn't the best speaker match for it?

It should work fine with GBs but I agree they have a dry tone. I have a delay always on, so that takes care of it.

i dig my gh100s plenty and wouldnt mod it, but marshalls and rectos are great on their own as well and i like what guys do to them, i just thought laneys were cheap and relatively simple to work on that maybe someone could do something cool

Congrats, those amps are killer!
I know there are a couple Cameron modded Laney GHs floating around. Not sure what he did to them but they exist.
