I think they have a coated string that is similar to Cleartones, which I think were terrible. Plus, they ate through my string cutter, which no other string has done before or since. Led me to believe they would chew through my frets, which was definitely not worth it. I also didn't think they lasted that long, either.
I think that's the XS.
I see. Are the plain strings treated (however Elixir does it) so they are anti rust?

I'm not sure. I think only wound strings are treated and plain strings only have a stronger alloy, but don't quote me on it.

Hm. If the plain strings age quicker than the wound strings, then it's not worth the price. I'm not sure what Elixir does to the plain strings, but I wish I did.

They don't age quicker. The alloy they use for plating has rust protection. I think Elixirs are the same way, actually. Coated wounds and special plating on plains.

Ah, okay. Thanks for clarifying.

Coated strings are poor af

Elixers are the worst strings on the market

NYXL are the way to go unless you’re poor or the worst

Ernie Balls are the most trailer park strings ever.

GHS has alway been my fallback. Now I am there to stay.
Yeah I always end up going back to Boomers.
