You're fine. Unbridged it'll do about 50-60 ish Watts into a 16r load. Bridged it's good for 200W into 16r. Conservatively you'd half the power each time the load is doubled, but in reality it's usually around a factor of 0.6 depending on various things.

Yeah, the PA50 was awesome. I think one of the reviews on the KSR site is mine.

I may go for this if I don't grab a Fryette LXII or 2/50/2.

Random, but I really am a tad disappointed. The Fryette Power Station was bought new, the tubes (so far as I can trouble shoot) seem to be experiencing issues, I haven't put that many hours on them, and I'm questioning the quality of the unit. Sorry, Steve, but I am. I don't see how the tubes could be having issues after only around 100-120 hours max, and it's likely closer to 80.

Tubes are tough, they can die for no reason whatsoever. I wouldn't hold it against Fryette unless there is another issue...

We'll see, but I'm feeling pessimistic that I'll buy the tubes and end up nowhere. If that's the case, I'll pull the tubes and buy a different power amp I guess.

It's always good to have a few spare tubes around anyway, so no harm there.
But if the problem is something else, yeah that's lame.

What are the issues you're having?

If it was bought new, then shoot fryette an email asking for advoce. They might sort you out.
Tubes do shit the bed at their own pace though. I've had ones with countless hours on them and then a fresh set will have one pop in the first 50 hours. This is why the most fool proof backup is something solid state!
