Word… well the dude accepted my $1k proposition…

Wanna make sure I’m understanding these right because I’m very stupid…

So hypothetically this thing:
https://www.amazon.com/Cantonape-Voltag ... bXRm&psc=1

The back labeled “ac input” goes to the wall (set to 110) and then I just plug the amp into one of those wonky looking 240v inputs on the front? And I know they look weird but can those take just a normal IEC cable into them I assume? Like I don’t need to get some weird euro cable right?

Yeah you got it right. And no you don't need an Euro plug.

If it’s an export model also, check the part number of the transformer and call/email Mesa to find out more about it. It’s possible the transformer maybe have the appropriated voltage taps and just needs to be rewired. Obviously the step up transformer should work well but if the PT has the taps and wiring necessary, that could be a one time trip to the shop and fix.

Good call, assuming everything is fine transformer works for now but would be nice to have a permanent switch

Absolutely. Even after a trip to tech and buying the step up transformer, you’ll still be under $1500 for a clean Mrak IV. I don’t think you can go wrong here.

Yes Vlad, mesa has been chosen, and hails from mother Russia. Must go back and test with stepdown transformer. Allegedly if works I take home for $1k
