Marshall does make a lot more money from headphones sales these days but they're NOT killing off their amp line, quite the contrary, there are some really cool things coming up in the near future.
I’ll be cautiously optimistic, in that case. If the 2203X does indeed stay in that price range, I might actually get one.

Mesa prices have nearly doubled in the US in the last few years, too, so I’d expect EU pricing to be even more off the rails.
A mrak vii head is £3850, which is 4840 freedom tokens.

Thomann don't currenty stock any mesa stuff as presumaby it's just not worth them keeping inventory at those prices, which is wild given they are the biggest euro distributor by some margin. For comparison an EVH 5150iii stealth is £1750.

Mesa got stupid with their pricing for sure, but even with Gibson money, aren’t they still technically a much smaller operation than Marshall? I also recall Mesa was having some trouble keeping up with demand during the height of the ‘rona, so I would imagine that had a part in their price increases as well.

I think Mesa just saw that there are amps made at a similar scale to what they do that sell for $4k, so why the fuck not and see what happens. I doubt it's hurt their sales at all.

Remember when people believed the Mesa guys when they said that Gibson wasn’t gonna fuck up their brand?? Well, now we know the answer l. And those people were wrong! Hah
