Forced to watch Rings of Power? That shit is against the Geneva Convention.

Unless they're allowed to watch Critical Drinker reviews between episodes for catharsis. WARNING: Angry ranting far beyond necessity ahead:

He reminds me of that grumpy uncle at the family reunions. Like, somebody will say they didn't like some movie or show and he'll go off for a half an hour literally enumerating every error made during production, down to the level of knowing when the catering biffed up a meal and the runners lost scripts.

You can stomach it for a few moments if you don't think of it as at all related to Tolkien. Unless you never read Tolkien. But even so, there's a lot of very questionable, "They clearly stole that idea from another movie franchise" moments that don't really flow together in a logical, or a believably non-logical way. Good background noise for doing chores though. You can watch a few cool fantasy tropes play out with a budget, but the story and characters are kinda anywhere from meh to grating.

Yeah man... I read all the Tolkien books from Farmer Giles of Ham to the Silmarillian.
Lack of continuity, dots that don't connect, moments that don't flow in a logical order.... that shit gives me convulsions!
It's a shame that they spent all the development money on production but not the script.
Just from the scenes shown in the above review, the casting looks pretty bad as well.
What a shame.
