Interesting. I did not know that. So who is going to buy some $500 USA Floyd Rose and compare it to the German and Japanese variants?

Lol. Well I haven’t heard of cost yet but I think this was an effort to make sure it’s all in house. Which besides the investment into the machines , should keep costs down. But I’d guess they should be in the same ballpark as current. That’s the hope anyway.

I don't know. I see it requiring a higher price than the German made OFR.

I guess we’ll see but it’s not like made in Germany isn’t virtually the equivalent to made in US. I’m fact most would prolly consider made in Germany as a higher premium. When the brought ou the 1000 series which is all German spec but made in Korea, while you can’t buy a full trem, even when parted out a new Korean made trem is around $160-180. Importing ANYTHING is kinda not cost effective. Made in house should actually save them money on manufacturing/importing etc. I’d guess this is their way of maintaining the price point

Exactly. Save them money, not us.

It's about time someone offers different radius for the locking nuts, I never understood why they didn't do that from day one.

Maybe . That’s why I brought up the Korean stuff. They “sold” it as German Spec, just made in Korea. But charged less for it. They have US saddles listed at $125 so a bit of increase over the Original German replacement saddles which I want to say were like $85-100. The US trems will prolly be the highest but no way will it be $500. $275-300 depending on color would be my guess. And I’m assuming they brought manufacturing to the US cause made in Germany Schaller stuff likely increased their manufacturing. I mean, that’s pretty much the world we live in now. But Floyd has always seemed rather fair with their price points. I think having the Gotoh being it’s price point and made in Japan and the Schaller trems being a bit more affordable will have to keep them within that ballpark otherwise most Floyd users will go with the Gotoh or Schaller.

Tooling I’m sure but yeah it took a rather long time to finally upgrade . Cause it now appears the US made Floyd stuff offers different radii too
