The Marvels was probably one of the best Marvel movies in years. Which is a slam on the previous movies from that era.
DUNE 2, Long fucking movie but just as good if not better than the first. I'm looking forward to the last one. 8/10
Lisa Frankenstein 7/10

Watched Stuart Little (1999) with my kids last night.
What a bizarro story. Why the parents would deny a real child a new home while befriending a mouse, then treating it like a child, is completely baffling. This movie is so insane, I burst out laughing multiple times at the sheer absurdity of it. I truly felt like Geena Davis and Hugh Laurie should have been committed.
(Remember when Sigourney Weaver/Dana Barrett is obviously lying to Vigo the Carpathian in Ghostbusters II? like, "Yes.. we can be a family..That sounds great" That's exactly how this ENTIRE movie felt.)
When the 6 y/o kid is the voice of reason as the rest of the family is entertaining this insane notion of treating a mouse like a child, I nearly lost it.
Star studded cast. Probably cutting edge computer effects for the time. The budget had to be off the charts.
My kids loved it though.
7/10 for the sheer laughs and keeping my kids happy.
The premise of the movie was VERY loosely based on the book. In the book: He wasn’t adopted.
I love reading E.B. White, but I would have beat his ass for the way Stuart Little ended. And I was eight. I’m 38 now, and my opinion hasn’t changed a bit.

Poor Things - wtf did I just watch . I’d give it an 8 out of 10 but I would probably never watch it again . It reminded me of a weird artsy 90’s era French foreign film. Aesthetically it was a beautiful movie , the story was very weird and dark but it was different than anything that’s come out in a while. Also , Emma Stone is naked quite a bit and she does make herself very happy with fruits and vegetables.

Road House - 2024 remake : 6/10 Lot of fighting, Dalton bangs a Dr , fights bad guys who want to take over a bar. Some humor in it with Conor McGregors character. I thought it was decent.
