Easily the best line 6 device they've made in years. The price, what it can do, the durability of it and the updates they've made over the years are all just 10/10.
It was my effects unit in the loop of my amps on stage for years. It would run reverb, some EQ if needed as well as noise gate and foot switch chorus, delay and solo boost.
These days it stays in my gig bag as my backup amp and I also bought a 2nd power adpater since the unit uses a weird reverse polarity plug or something.
Hell yeah!
Yeah the power supply is the only thing I'm not to stoked on. I typically loath having more than one power cord coming off my board so bummed that as far as I can tell theres not a PSU that can handle that as well as my other pedals
Not sure what power supply you're using, but several make adapter cables for the HX stuff.
Curious why you didn't go with the HXFX? No amp modeling but a few more footswitches and has 1/4" relay switching capabilities.
Anyway, try the H90 before your return window closes on the HX stuff. It blew the L6 stuff out of the water, especially for delays/reverbs/modulation/pitch shifting stuff.
Oh nice! I’ll have to look into an all in one solution with a little more draw available though
Size definitely a big factor with the HXFX… not ready to go all in on multi fx yet. still doing a hybrid board as I have a handful of pedals that can’t be replaced with such… my mu tron is a big one and I require a switchless wah lol. My RC-500 is probably the most crucial pedal I have with what we’re doing and the HX looper stuff doesn’t cut it for my needs. RE-202 is my primary delay soind that I overuse and I like and use many of the HX delays but they aren’t a substitute for that thing. And both those Boss pedals are already quite large
Honestly I’d be perfectly happy just continuing with only the HX one but more is more and having a little more flexibility can’t hurt. The HXFX is a bit too much more though
You know I won’t be going the full modeller route anytime soon but it will be fun to play around with stuff and have a baked on piece of mind backup if worse ever came to worse
I’ll have to see if there’s an H90 locally I can check out. Getting deeper into the realm of an amount I don’t want to spend but I have no doubt it fucks
How are the synth fx? Probably cheesy but I’ve gotten way into using those fairly often. Legacy models from the m series too

I can't speak for OP I looked at the H90 but the main things that turned me away was other than the high price was that I don't really put enough emphasis on effects to warrant spending nearly 2x as much vs just keeping my HX stomp.
Now that the Stomp is relegated to my gig bag for emergencies, I now rely on either the reverb and delay from my OX Box on stage or the UAFX Delverb and even both of those are just delivering a basic hall reverb and some analog ping pong delay and that's about it.
Eventide make killer stuff though. I used their Tricerachorus for maybe 5 or so months with the strymon bluesky and dig V2 and they were all awesome but SO much money tied into stuff I had no real need for but glad I tried it all out.

bro, the synth effects and way the H90 tracks is the reason I think you'll love it. The reverbs are over the top good, delays very solid, and modulation is crazy good as well, but the pitch shifting is where it thrives. It's perfect for a hybrid board setup because it's definitely not an all in one unit. It provides for 2 algorithms at once but combined with your other effects it's ideal.
but ya I hear you on the size of the hxfx and for what you're using it for. It is significantly bigger than the hx stomp!

I'm not going to downplay the money aspect of the H90, but it is worth it to me. I was using an hxfx in a cover band with good results, but I got the H90 and it wasn't even a fair comparison. I initially planned to keep both since I was using the hxfx to relay switch a mesa rig for that band, but I realized I preferred having my dedicated overdrive, fuzz, compressor pedals while using the H90 for everything else. My dirt pedals are head and shoulders above anything the HX series have, and the H90 reverb/delay/modulation/pitch shifting are unreal good.
I was skeptical but after trying it I was hooked. Micropitch alone is addictive, and the multitude of delay/reverb combos is ideal for a jam band type setup.

You make a compelling argument, however it would probably take a hell of a lot more tequila to jump up almost $400 (went with a open box/demo unit on the stomp from AMS for almost $100 off). That said I do have a 45 day return window

The dude is annoying and talks too much, but when he's playing it shows the synth stuff
Shorter less in-depth demo but no talking
and here's some spacey random stuff

I feel like a complete dipshit because I mainly use it for Micropitch and delay when it can do all this shit

Any particular reason you opted for the h90 over like an H9 max for more dialed back needs? From what I can gather the 90 has more powerful DSP but does that translate to the algos sounding better ?
