I use my OD808X with my Revv Generator 120 MKIII and Engl Savage 120 MKII, since the OD808X has a little more output and less of a mid hump. I still use the regular OD808 with my main practice rig, which is a Revv G20 and a matching 1x12.
You know I tried one of those once several years ago I think at the time I had a vht pitbull. I know a lot of people use the X but to me it was more like a distortion pedal and was just way too much for me.

I think that's what my friend uses with his Engel Savage if I'm not mistaken

I also wanted to comment on this. The koko has been one of my favorites. With my rev2 ubershell that beat out the Maxon for sure.

I was really close to buying one last week I saw one on reverb for $120 but for some reason I decided to wait. Not sure why but thats on the radar for later.

The one thing I don't like about TS9/808 is the minimum gain is too much. It's set by a 51k resistor. The SD1 is 33k. I changed my SD1 to 10k. The Precision Drive is 10k too. A Rat does not use a minimum resistor at all.

The 808 and TS9 are nearly identical. Save your money.
