When I lived in L.A. there were 2 Sam Ash stores I liked. The main one in Hollywood and one in Canoga Park, both actually had a solid selection of used gear and some deals. The Canoga Park store is where I bought my Mesa Mark III head for a crazy deal ($299!!) because they thought it was broken. I took it home, changed the tubes, fuse and cleaned it up and the amp was fine and I used it for years.
The Hamer I had during my HCAF years was also bought there. So yeah some good memories from that store. That was in the early 00s though, the company is completely different now.

I also have some very good memories of the 48th st, NYC store back kn the 80s and 90s, as I mentioned on my first post.

So yeah it's sad.

Never even seen a sam ash, seems like their distribution of stores across the country is/was fairly random
