To be honest, the stock pickups aren’t even too bad. They aren’t incredible, but not garbage. I grabbed a Desert Yellow one back in 2018.

I feel like they just do it as a loss leader to get people more interested in the brand.

Yeah Ibanez has a bit of diminished returns as the price goes up. I picked up a RG350 last year for next to nothing. I changed the pickguard to a single HB , put a Super 3 I already had here and it's... an Ibanez. Super low action, great fretwork, thin neck, stable tremolo and it nails the Ibanez/DiMarzio sound.

I think their sweet spot is under $1k. More than that you're paying for basically the same thing with nicer cosmetics.

No all access neck joint. Not a problem since it’s faithful to the ‘87 design

No case included.

Pickups are ok, but why wouldn’t you upgrade for the price? I have a super d, a choper, and a super 2 i need to install.

It is scary how close you can get with those settings you provided. While I don't have the H90 or the H9 for that matter, those same settings worked with my Micropitch and Timefactor.
