I think so too! SICA in Italy owns the Jensen name now but we have speakers made all over that sound good. USA, the UK and I have Chinese Celestion Greenbacks that sound great. So Italian made Jensens should he just fine.

Out for delivery! Pretty excited. Hope to get these installed today and start beating on them to get them moving and flexing.

Initial impressions: these are a great speaker. Handle more styles of gain better than the Webers. Clearer too. But not shrill. These are going to do exactly what I want this combo to do.

Yeah these are awesome! The midrange voicing still sits in the American camp for me clean, but hitting it with medium to high gain doesn’t turn it into a smeary mess. Maybe a little British but I don’t hear the same kind of midrange I hear with Greenbacks or Creambacks. The speakers crunch up nicely and I’m still getting that Tom Petty kind of dirt I like with my Dude pedal. They’re also a clear speaker without being shrill or grating. I think Jensen really knocked it out of the park with these. My HB equipped guitars sound better with the amp too. My mission wasn’t really to turn the amp into something else, maybe just refine what I heard as an American style voicing with a little more versatility to it. They’re handling all my pedals that I’ve tried with it better so far. Plus it’s cool hearing new speakers sweeten up a bit as you play them. I’ll try to get a microphone on these over the next few days because I do really like them a lot with everything I’ve thrown at them.

The only downside to Jensen speakers is that they take a long time to break in. Once they are, they really come to life. I think where Jensen get a bunch of bad publicity is on this time frame. I have been in that circumstances where I wasn't sure I chose the right speaker, but after they broke in I was more than pleased I chose them.

I know about the break in but these sound great out the box. I don’t mind putting in some hours on em either hahaha. I think Monday I’m going to get a microphone on these. Even with only a few hours they sound solid.

I haven’t recorded any clips yet. But I did do this one thing today. And I didn’t think it warranted another thread. Previous owner had this amp looking like it was a Blackface amp. Never sat right with me because I know it’s a 76. So I made it look like a 76.
