I recently bought a SD based, Zoom LiveTrak L-20 and was very impressed.... especially by the SIX INDIVIDUAL MIX cue sends!!!
It ALSO has a latency adjustment for recording direct with headphones. I really don't know why DAWs don't have latency adjustment because, many plugins are already using the "look forward" concept, like the Waves Vocal Rider.

I bought it for remote recording my band but, the band isn't cooperating!
Fucking old men can't find any time, these days!!!

Some weeks ago I have bought a Model 24. Needed to upgrade from my ProFx12 and while waiting for a good deal on the ProfFX22 I came across a tempting b-stock deal on the Model 24.

Initially I thought it could be cool to record live shows with the built in SD-card recorder but for sure it provides plenty of home recoding options as well. The Pete Thorn demo on the DAW-less approach is nice.

The mic pres and the built-in effects are great, it's really a decent and much better sounding mixer compared to my ProFx12 - and I like the 120mm faders.

This is a really good, nuts and bolts review of the Tascam Model 24 and the Zoom LiveTrak 20.
The reviewer owned THREE Model 24's and TWO LiveTrack 20's... he keeps flipping back and forth!!!
If anyone is agonizing over which to buy, you should def watch this vid.
Both are great recorders.

So, with the intention of selling my yamaha aw16g, i went through it today. It was a trip down memory lane listening to old recordings.

My 7yo is skilled in user interfaces. I think he would love it. He could record music without a computer. That would be worth more than the $100 or whatever i would get for it.
