Sounding good.
Mesa loops are weird. In the manual for the roadster there's mention of deactivating the loop that I always read as: if you bypass this it'll sound better. So in a way they acknowledge it, kinda.

I listened with headphones and had each track opened on separate web pages so I could flip back and forth easily.
My ears are shot but, I listened as carefully as I could (out of curiosity) and I really couldn't hear any difference.
I'm sure we all have read that, adding and removing even the simplest of circuits can effect the tone/feel.
When I bought my Hi-Tone (Hiwatt DR103 clone) I spoke to the owner of Hi-Tone, who is super OCD about matching his clone tones to the real thing.
I told him I wanted an fx loop and I could feel him cringing over the phone and he said in a very agitated voice, "That's going to change the tone!!!!!".
I said, that's alright, I still want one.
It doesn't have an on/off switch but, now I want to add one just to see the difference.

Haha yeah it’s interesting. Theres a clear difference to me. It’s an interesting control that you can completely take it out of the circuit.

Happy New Amp Day! I haven't listened to any samples yet (no headphones at the mo), but I have to say, the look of the amp is so iconic and awesome!

lol yeah, I always thought they nailed the size and look on the Mark V. The JP and VII look kinda funny on top of a 412...like Beetlejuice with a shrunken head lol.
I'm about to head to my drummers place to jam on it at band volumes for the first time.
35 watt comes tomorrow.
Then Metallica on Friday!!
