That's a decent lookin' kit. What's your in-room sound levels like with that?Guitarbilly wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 3:10 pmE-kits can look pretty real these days. I have one in my studio that looks practically normalnightflameauto wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 2:51 pm I've always wondered about this too. The few local shows I went to where I saw nothing but a couple modelers sitting on a table behind the band they still had a big drum kit. Are they scared they'll look like a nineties dance band if they have an e-kit?

Best way to describe it would be mid-strength hand claps.

The people who listen to rock got old.macaronisalad wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2025 1:32 am All of it just makes me sad that Rock has turned “polite”
Locally, there's a market for the louder, more pissed off stuff as rock/metal seems to be having a resurgence with the younger generation and it's old school in flavour. That said, my city is pretty isolated so I don't know if that is happening elsewhere.

Re: Question for bands using modeling
Most people don't use modelling because of stage volume, they use it because they're either lazy cunts or they've become too feeble to physically carry a real amp and cab.Guitarbilly wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2025 2:12 pm Why not switch the drums to e-kits too? Seems like that would be the biggest rig and loudest source of stage volume.
Genuinely curious, not trolling.
The stage volume argument is just a cover for their lack of physical prowess.
IMO.
