Been itching to own a Diablo ever since Balaguer released them. Once he showed me the design for the neck thru version I knew I needed one. Fantastic feeling guitar, I adore the way the heel is carved. This is probably my favorite model Joe makes. Haven't had a chance to rank it yet but I usually dig Joe's pickups. This has a Hypernova in the bridge and a Nova in the neck.

Roasted maple neck with walnut stringers
Pale Moon Ebony Fretboard
Buckeye burl top
Thin D neck, 25.5 scale

Does Balaguer offer top mounted Floyd as an option?

I believe his default option is recessed but they're really good about working with people on the semi-custom stuff, I've done quite a few one-off configurations for him. I don't doubt he could do it for you.

I'm not a huge Floyd guy but it's been a long time since I had one and this felt like the right guitar.

Honestly they have a reputation for being difficult but they're pretty straight forward once you learn a few tricks.
