Sold the Engl back in august. It was a killer amp, but ultimately it had a lot of overlap with the 5153, and I felt EVH just excelled more in most categories
Still a little sad about a piece of HCAF history leaving the family. Especially because I figured out the dude I sold it too was a weirdo that has two FB accounts, one to lowball people and then one to flip gear (didn’t lose any money, sold it for what I paid for it and I already discovered the market wasn’t willing to pay more than that) the idealist in me still just always hopes that a buyer is going to use and love the gear I sell, not hunting for a profit

Much respect. That's part of what inspired my recent purge (among other things). Just not using a bunch of gear and figuring someone else could make better use of it than I was.

For sure, it can definitely walking a bit of a razer edge for me… i don’t have any regrets about anything I’ve sold on the last few years which is good. On the flip side of the coin I’m also glad it’s not a super hot sellers market right now as I’ve actually listed several things for sale over the last few months and then within a few days to a week taken the listing back down because I saw the light and changed my mind
I actually was almost going to sell my 5153 to “make up” for this III purchase and I had had it listed, then I had one last practice with it using my silver sky of all guitars and was like “nah fuck that I’m gonna have my cake and eat it to. Nothings for sale”
