Re: New Speaker Day
Hahaha it’s definitely a solid choice. I bet they’ll sound good.

Re: New Speaker Day
So I got them and I’ve been playing them. First day I was pretty disappointed in them. Today I’m liking them more. So that’s a plus. They are definitely an improvement over the Jensens to my ears. More going on the upper mids that I like. There’s an inherent thing going on in the low mids of all 3 sets 10s I’ve played that I’m not as fond of. That could be either the open back cab coming into play or the nature of 10s or both. I’m going to put these through the ringer over the next few months anyway. At the same time, using the combos speakers with my 4x12 (the 1960A has a 4 ohm input of all 4 speakers in parallel) at the same time I absolutely glorious. It’s literally one of the best clean amp/pedal combos ever. The 4x12 sounds huge and brings the thump, the 10s add punch and focus in the mids and it’s just amazing. I was running my Zoar into my Disaster transport (think memory man) with the guitar volume rolled back and playing Blood and Sand/Milk and Endless Waters. And I had to make myself stop because it sounded so damn good.
