I think the conversion neck needs a smaller body if I am reading the 7/8 Strat body description on Warmoth as intended.

It's the other way around.
The conversion neck works with any strat body.
The 7/8 body works with the 7/8 neck only.

Actually if the 12 5/16ths to the 12th fret is spot on and I’m not sure why you wouldn’t measure that carefully. Lol. It’s not 24.75. It’s a short scale fender 24 5/8ths, which is why you are off an 1/8

Yeah, I'm not going for anything. I just needed a quick measurement as a gut check to verify that my body is correct.
A friend commissioned me to make him a body. He provided a neck and told me it's a 24.75" conversion neck. He has used it on a Jazzmaster on the past.
I made a test cut of the body to verify everything. When I installed the neck all the measurements were all off. The bridge posts were measuring around 24.8" and the 12th fret was at 12-5/16". Clearly the neck isn't 24.75" scale and probably not a conversion neck at all.
I just wanted to verify the body was correct. I don't have any Fenders here, just guitars I've built. So that's why I asked.
Short scale Fenders like a Jaguar are 24" scale, their student guitars are something like 22.75". I've never heard of a 24.625" scale guitar.
My bud said it intonated on his jazzmaster body so that's why I was thinking of stringing up the test body and seeing if it would intonate

It's also not a warmoth neck, it's from USACG who are shut down. So I can't get any info from them.
Re: Help Needed... Does anyone have a 21 fret Fender?
It could be a conversion. Just not from 25.5. I want to say I e seen fender short scale measuring 24.9/16 and 24.5 even. I know they have even shorter. But perhaps it’s a conversion from one of their shorter scales. Idk.

Yeah, I wish I could reach out to USACG and get some info. All I can really do is move the bridge to match the neck and call it a day lol

Yeah since you're building the body from scratch, you can put the bridge in the right place. It would be harder if you were dealing with a pre-made body.

I'm just glad I cut a test piece. I thought it was scrap but apparently it should be perfect for a correct Fender neck.
Another friend is taking it off my hands and putting a baritone conversion neck on it
