Does the SDE-3000D have the ability to do that as well? I would think that it would, but I don't have time to read through the manual today. Figured Billy would already know!
Yep. You can change the output +/- 12dB.

What do you have your direct level and unigain set to? I have the direct level set to 65 and the unigain set to -10 or -20. However, I find the delays too loud, even setting the out (with the out up/down buttons) to 20.

The direct level is set at 60 and the UniGain is at -10. My outs are set around 10-12 depending on the preset. I agree 20 would be too loud.

Weird. Okay, then. I'm curious why the delays are so loud at 20. I'm a little perplexed why they would be so loud when the direct is only at 60. I'm used to delays where there is either a mix setting, or the direct level is at 100, then you turn up the delay in relation to that.

Anyways, a lot of the delay patches I've checked out were like 20-25.

Thanks, Billy!

Yeah that's an old Boss/Roland convention, 60 is full signal (1:1 unity gain), if you go higher you're actually boosting the dry signal.

I *think* the 20-25 is supposed to be for stereo operation since it splits the signal. I haven't tried it with this pedal but that's how it was on the OG Roland racks. If you're summing to mono, then it needs to go down to 10-12.

So, I set it to 10-12 as suggested, and it works much better this way. Much less "in the way" as it was at 20-25, so thanks for the suggestion. 5-8 works as well if you need it more in the background.

I tried one delay line from the SDE-3000 (450 with ~2 repeats) into the DD-500 (analog at 300 with one or one and a half repeats) and it sounded glorious. I can also set them in parallel in my ES-8.

For F's sake. I didn't even think about running the SDE and DD into each other! Just went to pull the trigger and Sweetwater is out of stock now. :wall: Ordered anyway.

It sounds awesome. You can run two SDE-3000 delays in parallel into a delay from the DD-500 (such as an analog delay or tape echo algorithm).

Yeah I've tried running the SDE into my Flight Time delay and it's great. Definitely a great way to do it.

Awesome. The Flight Time seems like another interesting, possibly rack based digital delay pedal. I need to change the loop order on my ES-8 patches so that the 4 and 7 loops occur after the V loop, which is where I put my GT-1000 Core/Synergy Syn-2 as the V loop is always on.
