New big boy amp from Friedman. Not as powerful as the 100 but 50 watts ain’t bad at all. Dave seems to be going all out with the Jake stuff. I support it.

Re: Friedman JEL-50
Yeah I just watched a few videos of it this morning. It sounds great!!! I was hoping it'd be built on the Runt platform so it would be relatively affordable but it's built on the Smallbox platform and it's $3k. It's not a bad deal for what it is but I probably won't be buying one, at least not until they start showing up on the used market.

I may see about checking one out in the not too distant future. I'm thinking if my Charvel Snakeskin doesn't sell, I'm going to be driving past Ft. Wayne in February and might trade it in to Sweetwater and see about trying out a bunch of shit and see what comes home with me. That will be on the list.

Re: Friedman JEL-50
It's sweet, but it was more of a bucketlist "I have to own one and spend some time with it", and now that I've done that I can move on.
I don't really know what I want to do next, which is a blessing and a curse. If I could sell it for cash and sit on the money would be great, but if it doesn't move by then I'll put together a list of things I'm interested in and see what Sweetwater has in stock at the time.

Is that the 2005 that's floating around? I had a black one from that year if so and man......biggest guitar selling regret. I'd keep that one.macaronisalad wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 6:56 pmIt's sweet, but it was more of a bucketlist "I have to own one and spend some time with it", and now that I've done that I can move on.

Yes it is. I’m thinking if I change pickups, it’ll basically be a keeper. It plays super well, the neck is perfection. Just needs a little more crunch.Maddnotez wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 10:16 pmIs that the 2005 that's floating around? I had a black one from that year if so and man......biggest guitar selling regret. Then I’ll just get a DSL and be happy with amps, I don’t need to get something pricey.
