Welp, it appears the pedal I ordered is a Tubescreamer clone. Derp. Still on the hunt.

Bruh, it’s sick.

Seriously definitive lead lines, and a completely different flavor of distortion.

It’s weird and really cool.

When (not if) you get sick of doing this, grab a Black Arts Pharoh. It’s the best fuzz in the world, guaranteed. Expensive, but it’ll take the place of the 4 fuzzes you placed before it.

For under $100 used, the DOD carcosa gets overlooked , very versatile fuzz pedal

I HIGHLY recommend the Behringer Super Fuzz SF300.
It's a clone of the Boss FZ2 which is based on the Univox Super Fuzz used by Pete Townsend on the Live at Leeds album.
The SF300 is actually better than the original Univox Super Fuzz, because it has two tone controls.
Only $29 at Sweetwater...

Yeah this is the one. Stick it on mode 2 and boost it with a tubescreamer into a dirty amp. It'll fuck your face celean off.

I don’t have a Bender either. Ajax always posts the deep trip ones and I want one of those for my Bender. And an Alpha Haunt. And a Pharoah. I don’t believe the last two are benders but they look awesome.

OP,

You are getting some interesting suggestions here.

Pharaoh - great suggestion. Works great with clean amps. Has enough mids to cut in a mix. This is a Modified Muff circuit. You can be playing post-rock or Pink Floyd with this immediately.

Tone Bender (presumably a MK 2 or 3 of some sort) - Another good choice. Not finnicky like a fuzz face, but gnarlier than a Muff. This is the 70's fuzz tone I hear in my head.

Behringer super fuzz. - These are extremely gnarly. They clip sideways, so you have to play into a dirty amp, or an overdrive pedal after the fuzz. The Kay fuzz is a variant on the super fuzz. The Boss FZ-2 is a super fuzz at heart. Shin Ei stuff and their clones are also based on super fuzzes. EQD Terminal.

Mk 1 Tonebenders are pretty badass, but they are always freakin expensive for some reason.

Fuzz is like when Hal asks Malcolm if he is ready to learn rollerskating. using fuzz can be frustrating or beautiful. The less parts in the pedal, the more it can suck or be awesome.(See Fuzzrites, Boss Tones, Maestros, etc) Personally, I think nearly every fuzz face is underwhelming. (the Fuzzhugger Algal Bloom is one of the few exceptions)
