NPD! Birthday Pedal

It’s my birthday today and my wife got me this.



EQD Zoar. Haven’t plugged it in yet but about to change that.

First impressions. It’s a cool pedal. The drive doesn’t really kick in heavy until higher up on the knob so there’s some subtle gain shades in there. The EQ is very tweaksble. Weight control is cool. Lower settings thin it out. Higher settings get the notes to bloom and fall apart like a fuzz. You can gauge how much or how little fuzz you want in the sound. Pretty cool doomy pedal that can get in the indie vein too. Does more straight on distortion too. EQ is very powerful on this also.

I played this thing with my Rockerverb on the gain channel set as a boost. Bass and treble about 1:00, mids at 3:00, level at 12:00, gain 8:00, weight at 4:00. Oranges kinda have some fuzz like tendencies in their sound to begin with and with the weight control up my amp sounds like a big ass tube driven fuzz with a little more mids. It’s really fucking cool. Cool doom and stoner vibes in this one.
