Here's the first Jaguar I've assembled.

Post by broslinger »

So, I've owned Jaguars. I'm a big fan. They look awesome. However, my Vintera had all kinds of issues. It was kind of shitty.

So, I bought a Rosser painted Jaguar body. The main rout is a universal swimming pool, so a nogo on Jag pickups. It pissed me off at first. I got these Creamery dominos. They look like wide range, but they still only have 6 magnets, They sound freakin awesome.

The upper switch cavity was a weird rout shape, so I just kind of jankily chiseled it out. worked great. (Top switch is the choke switch, BTW.)

This is a USA Trem, which rocks, but these arms don't include a tip. I had to get a tip, which didn't fit, and build up the bar with masking tape and superglue. It worked splendidly.

Now, onto the neck. This is a $58 china ebay special. I lucked out, because this thing is REALLY good. I may replace the cheesy plastic nut, but at this point, it's perfect. It's roasted maple with binding and a satin lacquer finish. This would have been like $540 at Warmoth.

Very nice, that color reminds me of my old car. I have a can of that paint and thought about using it on a guitar. $58 for that neck! That's unbelievable. I like that you simplified the controls.

How are those pickups different than usual WRHBs?

Thanks dude. Great question.

The six magnets you see are all there is. There are no magnets under the cover.

Usually, in a wrhb there are twelve magnets. You just see six.
