DSL40CR: Recorded the Emulated Output
Silently recorded my DSL40CR via the direct out. Not bad, but I still prefer a mic on a cab.
Took a bit of post EQ to get it to sound OK.

Not bad. It could work with some EQ for something like a Doom track.

Yeah. It wouldn't be my first choice, but for getting ideas down silently it works alright.

I've never tried using the emulated out on any of my amps. How does this work?

Worth trying. Instrument cable from emulated out into audio interface, EQ to taste. Done.Vladimir Putin wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 8:49 pm I've never tried using the emulated out on any of my amps. How does this work?

Sorry I meant is it similar to the Palmer speaker emulation? Is it a tap off the power amp?

it depends on the amp, the DSLs and EVH 50w are out of the preamp. Some Friedmans have a XLR out that taps out of the power amp and they sound really good. The 20w Friedmans even have a built-in load so you can use them without a cab.Vladimir Putin wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 9:41 pm Sorry I meant is it similar to the Palmer speaker emulation?
