Pedal board amps have come a long way

Post by Maddnotez »

Im sure this is old news but I've never seen one like this. When I went to buy my amp today the seller had a pretty decent arsenal and he showed me his Blackstar Amped.

I don't know anything about it but it was an amp in a large pedal format including a 100w Power amp. He didn't use it long and the tone wasn't incredible but I was kind of blown away it had it's own power amp.

I've only seen preamp pedals like this that needed an external power amp but this had the power built right in.

Yeah I have the BluGuitar Mercury Edition. It sounds like a Marshall. Great amp. I'd have no problem gigging with it (I've actually done it a few times).

The Hughes and Kettner Ampman Classic is great too.

I'd quite like to check out a Laney loudpedal, but I've not come across one yet. I've also not looked, but we'll ignore that part

If you look you have to touch, you touch you buy. Might need a backup too.

The Laney should be good. I've used the Ironheart Studio direct with the electronic band with great results.
