I’m not even gonna lie, I like it. It sounds like Slayer, no surprise. Paul Bostaph on drums, Phil Demmel also on guitar (probably in a Gary Holt role for the recording), Kyle Sandwrs on bass and Mark Osegueda (Death Angel) on vocals.

Re: Kerry King solo
Osegueda's vocals and the production are quite good. Riffs seem pretty run-of-the mill, but interested to hear more songs.

Sounds pretty damn good to me!!!!! I don't see how any Slayer fan would be disappointed with this. Really song and killer playing all around.

Re: Kerry King solo
That’s what I’m saying! I know some folks are like “it doesn’t sound that different than Slayer.” But I’m good with that. I miss Slayer. If Kerry still wants to bust out this kind of riffage and material still, feel free!

Re: Kerry King solo
That solo was verging on being tastful in places. Is KK alright?
Re: Kerry King solo
I'm a Slayer fan, but this new tune still has that Nu-Slayer vibe to me. I'll reserve judgement until the full album comes out, but I feel this track is boring. Then again, i stopped listening to Slayer after God Hates Us All, because that album and just about everything afterwards was boring.Guitarbilly wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 10:16 pm Sounds pretty damn good to me!!!!! Re: Kerry King solo
And, in other news: Slayer is getting back together for a few shows. Relentless lineup, so half of Slayer.
Re: Kerry King solo
Kerry looks bored and the song isn't definitely a strong one.
Re: Kerry King solo
Kerry King is awesome, writes great riffs. I met him a few years ago and a solid guy too. Paul Bostaph is one of my favorite drummers. This is sounding pretty good.
