Was that mic into an interface or did you use a specific mic preamp? It does sound really clear, kind of airy from what I can hear. These mics aren't being made any longer, right?
I really dig the recording!

Thanks, man!
It’s plugged straight into a solid state logic ssl2. No external preamp.
I used quite a few plugins though
Tdl nova for de-essing
Tdl nova for high pass, mid cut, and a 3k boost
Butch vig vocals for all the above
Klangheim something compressor
Valhalla supermassive for the airy echo
Valhalla vintage verb for reverb

I have an SSL mic preamp that I use in my 500 series racks. It sounds really good. I bought it because of its ability to use with a ribbon mic to get the right impedance. Turns out, I like it with other mics too. It is really cool to hear how it can affect the harmonics.

Preamps make a big difference. I’m just keeping it simple right now though since this is my office studio.

Thanks a lot for listening, man! I'm glad you like it.
Yeah, I've been using the Spruce Glaciers as my "end of gain-chain" amp in a box. It adds a bit of dirt, whilst cutting the high end off of the gnarlier fuzzes. I've been using it for a lot longer than most of my pedals. I switch stuff out so often, but this has really worked great.

Wait! What? You switch stuff out often???? No way dude!!!
It's a bit pricy, but I think I'ma gunna have to get one of these... after I recover from my new Chevy Trax, a recent trip to Antigua and my niece's pending wedding gift!!!
A lot of dirt pedals say they have clarity, this one really does.
I can see myself using the Glacier quite a bit.
