In Flames Rig Rundown

Post by Guitarbilly »

This one is pretty cool. Great gear all all around. Even the MD61!!!! Which is the rarest of all modern Marshall amps. It's a DSL with the Clean, Crunch and Ultra modes separated, built-in gate and a mid filter. Never went past the prototype stage with just a handful of units, because Marshall decided to go with the DSL100H instead. I wish they would release this someday, but I don't it will ever happen.

Awesome! I love In Flames. One of my all time favorites, even though the last few albums have been garbage lol. But I always see them live, and they always sound great. Gonna check this out. They were 5150 users for years, but most of the band these days is non-original members. Maybe all of them? Not sure lol.
I like 5150s. The rest of you bullshit amps can get fucked.

Technically even Bjorn isn't even original (they released lunar strain and subterranean before him) but close enough, despite just being the drummer til Colony

Will have to check this out later. In Flames was my absolute favorite band once upon a time

Yeah Bjorn was their drummer until Colony. Good switch for him. Marshall’s and Engls in the mix? Nice! They were one of my benchmark bands for 5150 tones though. Them and Machine Head. To this day if people ask me what a good recorded 5150 sounds like I tell them to put on Colony or The More Things Change.

Only because it never got out of the prototype stage. Otherwise he’d have had 5 by now.
