I don't even know how that is possible. LolGuitarbilly wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2024 10:02 pm I had the Syn 50-50 for 3 hours and returned it That's how much I disliked it. It sounds muddy, but also thin.

It lacks low end severely so it sounds thin, but the highs are rolled off and dull so it's muddy too

That's strange. If I want an alternative in a "normal" form factor, it's either a $1350 Syn50 head, or a $1600 2/50/2.Guitarbilly wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 2:02 am Me either!!! First time for everything. Lol

I heard the Fryette version, LX something is much better, but I haven't tried it yet.

It appears to be $1400, but doesn't have presence and depth/resonance controls.

It does, but it's 2 little recessed knobs on top of the chassis. Which is not sure why he did it like that. But I guess once it's dialed in it's not a problemSpaced Out Ace wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 3:00 am It appears to be $1400, but doesn't have presence and depth/resonance controls.

If it's just a 1u rack power amp as a backup then a Palmer macht 402 should fit the bill?
