Honestly, it sounds like a 1987x, which can be found for a lot less. The Variac stuff is cool, but the 1987x gets really close to this. I regret selling that amp.

Sounds pretty good to me. I haven't used an amps effects loop since I picked up the Powerstation a couple of years ago. Not having a loop wouldn't bother me.
