That’s a great cab regardless. And if it fills out the sound how you want them even better. Run that bitch loud! At least it’s not a T stack.

And now you can still lust after a proper Thiele in the future.

New cab now, and GAS for later. Win win!

According to Mesa's ad copy the widebody 1x12 is more suited to chuggy high gain punch than the thiele anyways, so happy accident/net win I guess?

OCD aside

Further reading, looks like this cab is still ported, although a "triport, borrowed from our powerhouse bass cabinet" vs. "vintage front ported design" on the thiele

So different port design and 4" of width seem to be the only two differences between widebody and thiele :idk:

Interesting, I didn't know their widebody cabs were ported. Glad to hear it's working out for you!

For me, the secret to the Mark is every time I think I need to adjust it, I wait 10 minutes.

9 times out of 10, when I dislike it it's because it's cold, and if I adjust it to sound better cold it'll sound worse once it heats up, and that turns into chasing my own tail.
