SD1 as a boost for the solo only. Rhythm tone is straight in.

damn.... it ripped... i wish I played more venues that allowed me to bring a OS 2x12, I would easily rock a DSL100.... but... most small bars would tell me to GTFO if I rolled up with that rig lol
I can't remember what my signature was..... I'm sure it was something interesting..... :quote:

It's not an issue with a good master volume though. I actually find that I need less stage volume with a large cab because it covers a bigger area, especially with 4x12s with the top speakers closer to ear level. With a 1x12 combo I need to have it on a stand.

I use a stand for my 1x12 cab and head in some bars.... pretty much the spots where the engineer insists they want to mic me up.... when we do our own sound in smaller bars we don't bother to mic the amps and put them on the floor.... sound check takes a little longer to dial in the room but so far it's worked out well for us....

I'll say one thing I love about my 1x12 rig... I can get everything from my car to the venue in one trip using my hand truck lol

Well yeah but the 4x12 IS the hand truck lol. Head and pedalboard on top, double guitar gig bag in the back... one trip. I don't remember the last time I had to do multiple trips

lol.. yeah... that's kinda how I use my 2x12 as well since it's on casters.. but my pedalboard is too big to fit on top the cab with the head... but the gigs I play with the 2x12 I don't mind the extra trip since those are usually the bigger more fun gigs

Randomly, I like how these newer diagonal 2x12s I'm seeing more of still look like a halfstack. I also like that they don't park both speakers on the floor, and that compact heads don't look ridiculously small on them.

IMO... I think looking like a rock band is almost as important as sounding like a rock band, and these downsized halfstacks at least maintain that appearance.
