My MJM Luxora 808 clone arrived early!!! Just an hour ago!
I did a quick comparison between it and my TS9.
The 808 is a bit smoother and rounder sounding than the TS9.... that's about it. There are no other tone or neck feel differences for me.
I kind of like the 808 clone better than the TS9.

hmmm. well i won the raffle at RT for a Griffin pedal, i think ill just go for something different, i can choose from these:
MXR Micro Amp plus Clone
MI Audio Crunch Box clone
Catlinbread Epoch Bias clone
808 Scream Extreme ( my 808 Screamer with added gain )
Butler drive ( an adaptation of the BK Butler Tube Drive .... transistor based / no tube inside )''
anyone have any experience with these?? im leaning towards the micro amp

Re: TS9 vs 808
I like the Micro Amp Plus, for a boost on an amp that's sounding *right* but not quite enough of it. It's a different deal from an overdrive boost, but clean boosts are a cool alternative.
Don't really have experience with the others.

Yeah, I slightly prefer 808 vs TS9 but it isn't much different. A little warmer and slightly less gain. Go for the microamp clone.

Love Brett Kingman vids!!! Adding that bias knob for some sag was a good idea. Looks like a good choice!!!
I wonder how it works as a boost for other pedals?
