PRS Dragonforce Signature guitar lol
Re: PRS Dragonforce Signature guitar lol
Not a fan of the shape, but man I do like the thought process that went into it. Pretty cool

seems like a good guy and a phenomenal shredder, but even if I had 7k to burn, no. Too much of everything, just like their music lol

Kinda reminds me of the thin bodied Ibanez that I wanted in the early 90's. The specs on it are pretty cool, not my style but it's cool for what it is. I don't like the gold hardware on the black one, I prefer the other color.

Probably a Saber or an S Series Ibanez. That was his previous sig guitars as well. I like some of this guitar. The thin body is a surprise for PRS to actually be willing to accommodate. And those dragon inlays, I don't care what anybody says about how tacky it is, I love 'em. Fishman = meh. Bridge = 50% no, 50% divebomb twice then block. And thin guitars like this need the jack mounted differently. That weird fold in the top just looks off-putting. "Oh, is someone sliding something under the skin of the top? That looks painful."
Like most things related to Dragonforce: Some cool ideas with just enough built-in embarrassment to keep me from enjoying it.

Yeah, I hate it. The gold covered humbuckers are a totally different color to the bridge, the single coil is black. The lumpy bit where the jack is, well that's just retarded and unnecessary. Almost $7000?

And Dragonforce

You guys have seen this right?

Or is my level of ugly on a whole other existence?
I'm honestly glad he didn't do the Tosin thing with that huge chunk of wood on top over the fretboard.

Yes the price is crazy. But I got to give them credit for putting a lot of effort in the design. Except that I don't really get the jack mount. I think it looks kinda cool, but it makes impossible to use right angle plugs or even those wireless dongles. Straight plugs only. Which is not necessarily a deal breaker, but it's a weird choice.
I kind of gave up on calling Wylde guitars ugly, as it's clearly intentional

Not my thing, but I think it's cool that PRS will give artists a blank slate. It's not just a Custom 24 with different paint and a questionable inlay with the artists name on it.
