Hey dudes, raceu4her mentioned this forum to me over on rig talk and figured I’d come over here and check things out. He told me how there’s a lot more recording talk and stuff and that’s right up my alley. Really cool how even just looking at the first page there’s a bit of demos and recordings. Very cool! Lots of metal stuff which is what I’m about. Mostly on the death metal side.
Anyway here’s one I did a few weeks ago with a Larry Dino. (I know coming in hot, but I was happy how the mix came out and it’s the most recent thing I did).

Welcome to the board! Yeah that sounds great, great playing and the mix was good.

Awesome dude. When I saw the title I thought it was going to be some hair metal stuff
Glad to be wrong on that

Re: New member and a Larry amp demo
haha yeah, same!
My initial thoughts were some one from RT coming in with their Larry to play some hair metal lol. Glad to see that's not the case! Sounds great! I do hear some hard midrange stuff going on outside of the mix that I don't think I would like for an amp for myself, but the mix stuff sounds great.
Was this one of those amps with all the drama around the builder or something? I remember seeing lots of Larry and Cameron threads years back, but never actually followed any of it because the modded Marshall thing never really appealed to me.
Anyway, welcome to the forum! Moves a lot slower around here than RT, but it's a lot less chaotic than RT can be lol.

Thanks for the welcome dudes! Yeah… not really a hair metal guy lol. This is probably one of the brighter things I’ve written in a while, some Death (later era) influence to my usual deal. Usually I’m more so just a straight death metal dude like dying fetus, suffocation, cannibal corpse, deicide, gorguts, etc.
Re: New member and a Larry amp demo
Nice! I just got a vh140c preamp and it slaps for that kind of thing.
Re: New member and a Larry amp demo
welcome dude! im glad you got this amp and not 80s metal non clipper RT'er, it sounds sick and the songs rips

Race, I think you'd like the Omega stuff. I waited MONTHS for an Obsidian, and basically hated it immediately haha. Very round low end.
Then Tom came and visited and told me Kyle actually designed the Omega stuff. I got a KSR Ares recently, and was thinking back to the Obsidian, and was like...yeah, that makes a lot of sense lol. Very similar tone between the Ares and the Obsidian.
