Yes, Jeff Bober (Budda's original owner/designer) is local to me and I've taken a few amps for him to service and had the chance to play through a lot of his amps (Budda and his new company East Amplification). They all sound awesome. They're NOT metal amps at all, but they have a thick, liquid rock sound, kind of like a JTM45 that's been tightened and gained out. Really cool. I'd buy it for $640.

Yeah, I assumed not great for metal, but I've been interested in lower gain rock amps a bit lately. I would also assume this is a Peavey Budda, but I'm not sure how to tell an original from a Peavey made one.

We'll see. I'm waiting for my tax refund.
Yep, the cream colored tolex and faceplate is Peavey. They sound the same though.
